Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and us for the use of Servabo. Please read them; they are written to be understood. By creating an account or using Servabo you accept them. If you accept them for a company, you confirm that you may bind it, and "you" means that company.
1. Who we are
Servabo is operated by Sabarish N, an individual (sole proprietor) in India, trading as Servabo ("we", "us"). You can reach us at sabarishwarne@gmail.com.
2. The service
Servabo is online software for businesses. It reads documents you upload (such as invoices, purchase orders, receipts, contracts and statements), extracts their contents, checks them against each other, tracks the obligations in them, and proposes and records actions for you to approve. It is delivered over the internet and is available immediately after sign-up; there is nothing to install or ship.
We improve Servabo continually and may change, add or retire features. We will not remove a core feature of a plan you are paying for during a period you have paid for without telling you in advance; if a change materially reduces what you bought, you may cancel, and nothing more will be charged.
3. Accounts and organizations
- Servabo is for businesses and the people who work for them. You must be at least 18 and give accurate information.
- The organization is the customer. It holds one subscription; each person in it occupies one seat and has a role (owner, admin, billing or member) that decides what they may do. The owner is responsible for the organization's subscription and for who it invites.
- Keep your sign-in details safe and do not share an account between people. Tell us at once if you think your account has been used without your permission.
- You are responsible for what happens under your organization's accounts and API keys.
4. Plans, trial and seats
- Plans. Our plans, their prices and what each includes are on the pricing page and in the app. Prices are per seat, monthly or yearly, and exclude taxes.
- Trial. Each account gets one trial of 14 days, starting when you create your first organization. It needs no payment details. When it ends without a subscription, your organization becomes read-only: you can read, search, export and delete your data, and subscribing restores everything.
- Seats. A paid subscription holds the number of seats you buy. Adding a person past your seats requires a seat first, and you see the price before you buy it.
- Allowances. Each plan has monthly allowances (for example documents and pages read), per seat and pooled across your organization. Where a limit is a hard limit, work that would exceed it waits until the next month, or until you add seats or upgrade. Usage is shown in the app.
- Changing plan. An upgrade takes effect immediately; the confirmation screen shows the exact amount charged for the rest of the current period before you confirm. A downgrade takes effect at your next renewal, after the app checks that your organization fits the smaller plan.
- Price changes. We may change our prices. A change applies to your subscription from your next renewal after we have told you by email at least 30 days in advance.
5. Payment through Dodo Payments
Our online sales are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. When you subscribe, you buy from Dodo Payments, which acts as the seller of record: it processes your payment, calculates, collects and remits the taxes that apply where you are, issues your invoice, and handles refunds and chargebacks. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments' buyer terms, shown at checkout. Your card statement names Dodo Payments.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until cancelled.
- We never see or store your full card details; they go to Dodo Payments directly.
- If a renewal payment fails, Dodo Payments retries it and we email the organization's owners and billing members. If it still cannot be collected, the organization becomes read-only until a payment succeeds. Nothing is deleted.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time; your plan stays active to the end of the period you have paid for and nothing more is charged. Refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is part of these terms: in short, a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment of a new subscription (once per organization), full refunds of duplicate or mistaken charges, and no other refunds or credits for partial periods, unused seats or unused allowances.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use Servabo lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms. In particular, upload only documents you are entitled to process, and do not try to break, overload or get around the service's security or limits.
8. Your data
- You own your data. The documents you upload and everything Servabo extracts or produces from them ("your data") belong to you or your organization.
- What we may do with it. You give us permission to host, copy, process and transmit your data only to provide and secure Servabo for you, to support you, and as the law requires. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train AI models.
- Who processes it. We use a small number of service providers to run Servabo; they are listed on our subprocessors page. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
- Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the rights, and where needed the consents, to upload your documents and have them processed, including any personal data in them.
- Export and deletion. You can export your data and delete it at any time from the app. After a subscription ends your organization stays readable so you can export; if you ask us to delete your organization, we delete its data, and it leaves our encrypted backups as they expire (within about five weeks).
9. AI and Helm
- Servabo uses AI models to read documents and draft text. Like any reading, AI can be wrong. Fields Servabo is unsure of are sent to a person for review, and you remain responsible for checking results before relying on them.
- Helm proposes actions (for example a payment run) and checks them against your rules. Its proposals are recommendations, not financial, tax or legal advice. Helm never moves money: payments are made by you, from your bank.
- Replays and forecasts are estimates and are labelled as such.
10. Availability and support
We work to keep Servabo available at all times and to fix problems quickly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we do not offer service credits. The Enterprise plan's 99.9% service objective is a target we measure and report in the app, not a guarantee with credits. We may pause the service briefly for maintenance, ideally at quiet hours. Support is by email at sabarishwarne@gmail.com; we aim to reply within two business days.
11. Services you connect
You can connect Servabo to services you choose, such as your ERP, data warehouse, identity provider, mail server, webhook endpoints or your own AI provider key. Those services are provided by others under your agreements with them; we send data to them on your instruction and are not responsible for them.
12. Our software
Servabo, its software, design and documentation belong to us. We grant your organization a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Servabo during your subscription (or trial), for your own business, under these terms. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or create derivative works from Servabo, except where the law allows it despite this. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
13. Confidentiality
Each of us will keep the other's non-public information confidential, use it only for this agreement, and protect it with reasonable care. This does not cover information that is public, already known, independently developed, or that the law requires to be disclosed.
14. Warranties
We will provide Servabo with reasonable skill and care. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, Servabo is provided "as is": we do not promise that it will be error-free or meet every need, and we exclude implied warranties such as fitness for a particular purpose.
15. Limits of liability
- Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data that could have been avoided by keeping your own copies, even if foreseeable.
- Our total liability arising from or relating to Servabo in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid for Servabo in those 12 months.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.
16. Your responsibility to us
If a third party makes a claim against us because of your data or your use of Servabo in breach of these terms or the law, you will cover the reasonable costs and damages that result, provided we tell you promptly and let you handle the claim.
17. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using Servabo and cancel at any time (section 6).
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, that puts the service or other customers at risk, or that the law requires us to act on. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you time to fix the problem and export your data.
- Sections 8, 12 to 16, 19 and 20 continue after the agreement ends.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change we will email the owners of paying organizations at least 30 days before it takes effect; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, please write to us first; most problems are solved quickly that way. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law where you are gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
20. General
- These terms, the policies they refer to and any order you accept in the app are the whole agreement between us about Servabo.
- We send notices to the email address of your organization's owner; you send them to sabarishwarne@gmail.com.
- Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
- You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it to a successor of our business, and will tell you.
- If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
